Well, you could opt for something pretty and decorative, like a Swarovski crystal ornament or one of those cute crystal figurines, or a pretty glass flower. They're not too expensive, especially on eBay.
If she likes music, you could also add on an ITunes gift card, which is always appreciated by IPod fanatics.
Something handmade could also be an idea. Whatever you're good at - like painting, or designing clothing.
Or...you could offer to do her homework for a week. Lol. You can't put a price tag on that.

What's your relationship? If she's a close friend, a nicely framed photo or collage of photos of the two of you or maybe also other friends/relatives you have in common?
Unless you are very close and are also very rich, I would definitely not try to buy something really expensive. Let it be from the heart, not the wallet.

It does not matter what gift you give it is in the manner you give it and the meaning behind it. If she thiks a lot of you, money will not be an issue. Christmas is a time you should show love, this is priceless

Depends on if she is nouveau Rich or khaandaani rahees.
If she is nouveau rich get her gulab jaamun in a Wal mart dish, and if she is khaandaani rich try getting her Gulab Jaamun in a Versace or Gucci Dish.

something without monetary value; something personal: a poem or a sketch... if you're not inclined to use your own, you can take an existing work, and make it your own via decoration or calligraphy.
