however I ripped off the top 2-3mm of nail on my little finger which is now sore, can I still have the gels applied, please, please say I can!

You may have to wait a couple of weeks before getting gels applied to let the nail regrow. Sorry, its probably not what you wanted to hear, but I'm pretty sure the nail technician would tell you the same thing (If they're worth their salt). You don't want to risk getting an infection in the nailbed from the procedure, so don't take the chance. A couple of weeks isn't all that long really.

Ouch! You should have just soaked them in nail varnish remover until they went really, really soft then wiped them off!
As for gels, it would depend on what the nail technician was happy doing. they may try to 'build up' nail first before applying the gel. I would consult the person who's going to be doing the gels first and see what they say. Otherwise you may have to wait a while until the nail grows back a little

after talking to my lecturere about a simular problem my daughter wanted these nails but bites hers she said that you need a little bit above the nail bed else they will pop off sorry i would wait till its grown a bit or use a sticky pad false nail hope this helps more advice about beauty can be found at healthypages.net and ask for help in the forums ok

It depends on where you go and how good the nail technicians are - soem will do it and some wont - beg them - alot and see what happens - i often have this problem when i take acrylics off myself - try to file the nail that remains to get it even - hope they do it for you - good luck!

yu shoud have seek advice about removing them, non acetone nail polish remover and almond/olive oil and with a good saok wouldhave done no damage at all to ur nails....my advice is to leave ur nails to recover for a few weeks before you do anything eslse to them are they are now in a weak position!

yes you can but the nail may not last as long on that finger if its touching more skin then nail!!next time soak them off with acetone at home!!x
