That depends on how damaged it is. If it is still recognizable, just use it at Wal-Mart. If it is still wet, place it under a towel and dry it.

It is the bearer's responsibility to keep currency in usable condition. If you screwed it up, you lost it.

Just take it to any bank. They should exchange it for you. Bills are regularly taken up and replaced by the Federal Reserve, which prints American money.
