"'Through Glass' was actually inspired by sitting in a hotel room in Europe watching MTV in Europe, which is probably worse than the MTV that's here. I mean, there's a lot of Pop, well it's true man. There's so many plastic Pop bands and Pop people and it's like what is this. It's very devoid of emotion as far as I'm concerned and it slowly started to make me angry and this is the song that came out of it. Surprisingly enough it's actually a pretty angry song that is railing against musical convention today. The fact that there's very little substance or soul to it."

It has to do with Cory trying to jump of a balcony, his wife seeing him, and his struggle with alcohol addiction
