You are going to have to be the judge of that. If he isn't hiding it from you and they are mostly talking about the kid then I wouldn't worry. Trust me it is easier for him to have an amicable relationship with her then not!! It is also good for the kid and that is what is most important. You need to accept that she is going to be a part of your life and trust that he is being faithful to you.

no, don't worry. If you get a chance to talk to the ex .Ask her how you can help your fiance and her in the raising of the child

No. And actually, you should not marry him if you don't expect this to continue until your stepchild is 18 years old. He is the child's father and must communicate with the child's mother in order to raise the child well. It's his responsibility. Now, if you hear him talking about things other than the child, that's different, of course. Keep your ears open to be sure he's over her and it's just about the child.

to tell you the truth is he is the mother of his child, he will always have to talk to her for the child, but if he is just talking to her about unnecessary things then that's not right and you should have something to worry about, does he go in the other room when she is on the phone another big nono, look at all the details

NO they should talk. If they are talking about getting back together then yes you should worry. They need to be able to get along because they will interact with each other for as long as the child is alive.

If he's talking to his ex and not hiding it from you than it shouldn't be a big deal. He will talk to her for the rest of his life because of their child together. Just ask him about it, but don't accuse him until you know for sure something is going on that shouldn't.

Communication is always the key! Unfortunately, he will ALWAYS talk to his ex; since they have a child together, they are forever tied to each other - that's just the nature of the beast. See the positive side of it, though. He's obviously willing to be a father, which is a good sign since the two of you may have kids someday.

I wouldn't worry if all they do is talk. Im sure his child means the world to him and he just wants to be involved thats all. If you suspect more is going on then talk to him. Sit down and have a heart to heart, if he loves you he will tell you everything you want to know. My husband is always talking to his ex and im fine with it he is open with me and thats what matters most.

never be to hasty with sensative issues like this, he might just phone to find out how the child is doing or if she is coping with the child.
