In a chess game, for the fate of Earth...? Now, don't get me wrong. The Grandmaster is an Elder of the Universe and all that. (Didn't he used to have one of those soul gems stuck to his head? Or was it implanted...?)
But my money's on the Phantom Stranger. He is just the more mysterious of the two. (Remember all that by play with Korvac marrying the Grandmaster's daughter...?)
PS is also immortal, along with Jason Blood and The Immortal Man, in DC. He has faced lots of supernatural opponents along the way. I don't think he would crumble before a superscientific opponent. What has the Grandmaster done for us lately, besides coming up with the Squadron Sinister (and, by derivation, the Squadron Supreme...?)
