Well I like being in a relationship, but some things I can think of:
1) Free to go and do whatever you want, whenever you want.
2) Can see anyone you want
3) Don't get third degree if you are talking to someone of the opposite sex, especially if nothing is going on
I'm sure there are plenty more if these even applied to you. I never really had problems with any of this we get along well, but jealously or worry would always cause problems when I talk to girls that my fiancee doesnt know. And she has nothing to worry about and I should be allowed to talk to people of the opposite sex, I get along better with them, etc....
So being single you wouldn't have to worry about jealousy which is a big problem with a lot of couples, maybe not all the time, but it does come up.

Being able to decide what you want to do when you want to do it how you want to do it whenever you want.
Gettting to know what is important to you.
Getting to know other people by dating.
I loved being single- I took the last year off from dating to really focus on me and my goals and ambitions. Sometimes we need this first before we can commit to a relationship, or have someone commit to us. Personally I feel like I can offer more in a relationship now.

only bad thing about being single is the sex life slows down a lot.

No whining
No waiting for the bathroom
staying out late
getting drunk
chasing other women
saving money
the list goes on.....

dont have to share the bed
have the whole closet to yourself
can watch whatever you want on tv
can eat all of the ice cream
nobody else to dirty dishes

You don't feel obligated
You can go and come as you please
You dont have to worry about hurting anyone's feelings
You can date and just have fun
