Im thinking he must be on scholarship or something, b/c he freakin loves Duke. He rants and raves about them every year, and sings their prases on ESPN. I think ESPN should ban Dick Vitale from calling Duke games...that would be awesome baby!

HE LOVES KISSING BUTT. HE REMINDS ME OF TOM HEINSON, A FORMER NBA ANNOUNCER WHO HAD PLAYED FOR THE CELTICS.

I am still searching for the link between Coach K and Dickie V. Perhaps he is his long lost father. It seems like more than a man crush. True, Duke has been very good for a long time, but Dick just takes it over board. Stuart Scott: Well, Dick...who would win in a basketball game; Duke or God? Dickie V:Stu baby! I'm gonna have to go with the Devils. They've got some ptp'ers. God is good but he doesn't have Coach K.
You are right, Vitale is biased. Perhaps Coach K sold his soul for victories, and Dick Vitale is the devil?

He usually picks a team to spoon with for several years before moving on. Duke is only his most recent crush.

He was Rick Pitino's little buddy when he was at Kentucky.

I don't know why he can't be at least some degree of objective.

Everytime he says something like "dipsy-doo, dunk-a-roo" I want to neck punch him. Man his act is wearing thin...

Not only is he crazy about Duke but, also all about the ACC in general. I am more than certain that he would "off" himself in a second to protect Duke.
