like robin williams said in Live on Broadway, it's called "beat the cock" (rather than beat the clock). one of the most annoying things in the world, totally ruins the mood dampers the sensations. Happens all the time. Great invention, serves its purpose though. It's not so much keeping them on, it's getting them on initially, especially when they're too tight.
