Hard to believe you cannot sit through 40 pages of a play to find out the answer to this!

Punished to eternity in a cave. Left to die. She kills herself. Then when the come to set her free, she is already dead.

Oops. Sophocles loved to write about the fallacies of kings.

ANTIGONE dies at the end of the play; she is walled up alive in a cave as punishment fof disobeying King Creon's edict and so she suffocates.
