Is woman's makeup instinctive?

I don't know if it's instinctual but it makes me feel better about myself when I wear it and I am sure other women feel the same. If it is done right women look like they aren't wearing any and can look natural.

I don't think a woman's makeup is instinctive. I think most women think they need makeup to make themselves feel better. Sometimes women need makeup to even up an uneven skin tone - which makes them look better and perhaps even younger! That can't be bad, can it? And yes you are correct - there are some women who look cute without makeup. But not everyone is so lucky. And, you may be seeing women who know how to apply makeup without looking like they even have makeup on!

No, putting on makeup is not instinctive, but wearing makeup (for both men and women) actually goes back thousands of years.

Some women feel prettier with makeup, some use it to cover flaws, and some just like the way they look with makeup.

There are also many women who never wear makeup.
It's a personal preference....sometimes I use makeup but often I don't.

Hi. When I think of "instinctive," I think of something that does not need to be taught or learned.

A dog instinctively knows how to swim, for example.

I don't think the art of makeup is instinctive at all. Women practice for years, starting perhaps in the teen years, and don't necessarily get it right as adults.

But I do agree that some women look just fine with no makeup.

Some women do look good without any makeup but all women look much better by wearing a little makeup that enhances their best features. I, personally, have nice large green eyes with very long eyelashes and I play them up by using black mascara and a little eyeshadow, usually olive green.

most women don't know how to correctly wear makeup that's why many look better with out it but make-up flatters evreyone even children and men when done by someone who know's what they are doing also makeup is suppose to look naturally and many women seem to forget this when applying it.

instinctive? lol I think it is more of a societal thing. I have been told I look better without makeup and I am comfortable without it on but I think it's fun to add a little color and accentuate my features.

some omen have a natural look to them that is pretty. there eyelashes are long, there hair is long, there face is just the right shape and there eyes are pretty. those women don't have to wear make up. while other women if they don't look like a Blank sheet of paper.

No, it's cultural. It's beat into our heads that women look better with make up. Some of us do. Some of us don't . But make up that sells is what cosmetic companies bank on.

As little girls, we just want to do what our moms or women we look up to do, so we want to play with make up, wear high heels, etc.
