Well if your goal is to settle down then don't waste your time with married men. Other than that be open to different types of single men give a guy a chance that you normally wouldn't and you might find what it is you really want and need.

One person had it right on the button, you need to rule out the married ones for if they are snooping around now they will do it later also. Start off by having a babysitter and get away with friends whether it be a fair, demolition derby, monster truck jam, something where men tend to gather that you could enjoy also. Many guys come and many single men. Buy know what you have and mind and what are you priorities so upon meeting someone you won't waste more time with the total oppisite you'd never trust with your kids. WHen your timing is right mr right some how always tends to fall right in place.

Why do you want to settle down and what does that mean? Like if you want to be married for the sake of being married, that is just plain stupid.
First and foremost and ALWAYS top priority is taking care of yourself and your kids... and that means having your own life, friends, interests, passions. No one will be interested in you if you are not an interesting person, so live your life to the fullest! If you are truly ready for a partner, you will attract the right person into your life just by living it.

Join parents without partners groups and make new friends. Stay away from married men! They can "smell" vulnerable and you are a target. Good luck, you'll be fine.

honestly - become a Muslim and be open to polygany. Some of the best husbands are those who already have a good track record. No-one sneaks around and it is very different than what you are facing. Consenting adults living an honourable way. Something to think about. :)
