How tragic...and how STUPID to let alone leave a car running, with your CHILD inside.

Chalk one up to blame "society" for this one.

I would not past a comment about parents who lost a child and whose conscious probably hurts them for it.

Don't blame society; obviously it's the mother's fault... BUT, I have a feeling she's already suffering... it's pretty easy to throw around blame and point fingers, but the time will eventually come when we'll all just be glad for a bit of understanding and compassion from our fellow humans- ESPECIALY if we're at fault and know it...

How true. Pleasure without responsibility. Lots of sex. Pregnancy.
Many young fellows hit the hills. Mother in many cases doesn't go
after support. More welfare for the mother for being promiscuous
More burden on the tax payer. Less help for unfortunates that
really need help. Quite a system.

society, my good eye! there is no one to blame but this stupid woman. it's just sad that that boy had to pay the price for her stupidity. as for the guy who says he wouldn't post something about a person who lost a child and has a guilty conscience, i say this: that woman should be made to feel bad. she should be ridiculed every day, at the very least. she has it coming. an unlocked, running car is tempting fate, but to leave a sleeping child in one is criminal, plain and simple.

we live in a society where we feel relatively "safe", we don't think this kind of stuff is going to happen to us, but I do believe leaving your children in the car is a bad idea
