I just wonder why some people answer questions with "I don't believe in horoscopes" or "Astrology is bullshit." If you don't believe then why even come to this category to begin with? Is it just to belittle what other people believe. I just don't get it....

No need to be assholes. I was just asking a simple question but that's exactly my point. If this question is SO stupid then why bother answering at all?

If it's on the front page, so what? It doesn't mean you have to answer them especially if you're just answering to be rude.

Honestly. I can tell you how many posts I've seen of people dissing astrology. If you hate astrology but come to the Astrology section then you must really not have a life. Because personally I don't visit sections I don't like. They're a waste of my time.

When you post a question it is listed in the category you specify.

However, I suspect that people who answer your horoscope questions with "I don't believe" aren't actually going to the horoscope category specifically looking for horoscope questions.

If you go to yahoo answers and click on "Home" you will find questions from all sorts of categories.
Many times, when people log-in to yahoo questions, they don't go to a specific category, they just browse the open questions.
I found your question at the top of the list of "open questions."

Most people are either too lazy to read the category, or they just don't care what the category is, they just want the two points for their answer.
What is worse (and more confounding to me) is when people post questions in categories that have nothing to do with the category- Like " Did you hear about Lance Bass?" posted in the Biology category.

They do it for the two points. They do it because they feel they can save you from believing what they don't believe. I do the horoscopes and the tarot cards and I can assure you they are pretty telling.
The non-believes normally have read the horoscope the paper. The sunsign only so it covers very little and is very general and only one or two sentences. Makes it easy for them to be non-believers.

I don't believe in vampires either, but I love the stories and movies. Entertainment and use as a conversation starter is a perfectly good use for astrology and horoscopes.

They probably just want to get points for answering a question...

I believe in astrology!

Some people answer questions from the general catagory page when you first log in, so they might not be in your catagory.

I, like you and everyone and everything else (including the vastness of the stars you seek for guidance) am here because the Sovereign God of the Universe decided that it should be so (Genesis 1:1-2, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:17-23, Hebrews 1:1-3). He is the Creator of all things, controls all things, and your and my next breath and heartbeat is dependent upon his willing it to be so.
