The temperature of a substance is really related directly to how rapidly the molecules of that substance are moving. By beating the water, you physically caused the molecules of the water to move more rapidly, probably by causing friction between the beaters and the water, which added heat which made the molecules move faster which is an increase in the temperature...

Yup. Constantly beating water will raise cause the water molecules to move faster. Since temperature is the measure of the average kinetic energy of the molecules, temperature increases as kinetic energy of the molecules increases.

Hope this helps=)
