THE BEST PLACE IS A STREET ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE NAMED CALLE LIMON. THE WHOLE STREET IS OWNED BY ONE FAMILY AND THEY LIGHT UP ALL THE HOUSES EVERY YEAR WITH A PECTACULAR DISPLAY. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GET OUT YOUR CAR. YOU ARE WELCOME TO TAKE PICTURES.

DIRECTION FROM SIH35: EXIT ON 6TH-12TH. MAKE RIGHT ON 7TH STREET, TAKE TO PLEASANT VALLEY RD. MAKE A LEFT, THEN IT IS THE FIRST OR SECOND STREET ON THE RIGHT.

HAVE FUN!!!!!

I USED TO LIVE IN AUSTIN FOR 12 YEARS AND I TOOK MY KIDS THERE EVERY YEAR AND IT WAS ALWAYS DIFFERENT. I LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO NOW.

Agreed, I saw the lights at 37th (I don't think it's 38th) & Guadalupe and they were pretty neat. I went right after Thanksgiving and not all the lights had been put up yet, hopefully by now all the neighbors have them up. The street is fairly short so don't get your hopes up that it's like Rockefeller Center or something. It's cool local Austin flavor.

I had fun going around Riverwalk in San Antonio to see the Xmas lightings.. It's about 1.5 hrs drive away from Austin.. Just go down South I-35.. It's pretty romantic..

38th and Guadalupe is the local favorite. The residents really do it up. One famous house has their electic meter on display (you can walk around their backyard) so you can see how fast it is moving.
