Dario Argento is certainly a great director, a master of Italian Horror. Remember though the BBFC put a lot of restrictions on what Hammer could show. Terrance Fisher and the like did a great job considering what they had to work with and the low budgets. Also Hammer had Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing - who can argue with that?
I also like the recent work Asia Argento has done as a director. She shows real promise in this field.

i imagine there replaced into an fairly bizarrely gory Australian movie I suggested once suggested as mind-useless. look it up, its were given the more serious gore I have ever considered in a movie and it replaced into sickening and humorous too. wish you've heard of it. i have not considered any Italian horror movie, yet i did not truly discover Hammer too gory in any respect.
