We are Grenwich Mean Time (GMT) at the moment in the UK and Manila is 8 hours ahead of us. So at the moment as I type it is 17.39 Tuesday here in the UK but in Manila it is 01.39 Wednesday.
You can check the times online and also set a page to monitor a particular conversion on the following site for any part of the world and daylight saving times (if any are automatically catered for):

Seems simple enough but it easily gets confusing. I have a spare clock set to Philippine time. As far as I know all the islands are set to the time in Manila.

Depending on time of the year (UK changes the clocks - Summer / Winter time) so there are either 7 or 8 hours difference. Currently (Dec) 8 hours so 8 am London is 4pm Manila. www.onestoptravel.org

The Philippines are 8 hours ahead of Grenwich mean time. The uk is now on GMT so they are 8 hours ahead, in the summer the uk will move ahead one hour for daylight savings to GMT+1, the philippines will stay on the same time and then be only 7 hours ahead of the uk.

The Philippines is GMT +8 hours.
Your phone book is a good place to look for time zones.
So it's good morning at 08:22 from Cebu where the sun always shines. but only 22 minutes past midnight in UK.
