It would be better to ask a series of questions, rather than this hodge-podge.

I wanted to respond to this one: 4.“We need more people in science, we have to encourage more children to take up this field” but is this a form of manipulation of children's growth of idea’s and choices?

Encouragement is not force. Offering more appealing choices to kids is a Good Thing.

If science were taught well, a lot more kids would understand it better, which would be good for them and society in general. Also, more would fall in love with science in general and particular areas of science, and would pursue careers that would be good for them and for society in general. (They'd have jobs doing what they love; it's good for society to have a sufficient number of scientists.)

#1 is simply absurd. #2 is sexist (though this is a problem for many men, but it way over-generalizes).

Love is not a form of manipulation, but many people who claim to love are actually being manipulative rather than loving. That doesn't mean that no person ever loves other people.

[Edit, after deciding to respond to #3]

Society is shaped by all members, to varying degrees; we are all influenced by society, to some extent. There are a lot of things that shape us; nothing completely "controls" us. The quote is a false dichotomy and seeks over-simplification.

1 No
2 No they just use their upper brain to talk their way out of it.
3 Both- it would normally depend on the level of support you had. Not many people act on their own.
4 Theres probably loads of science teachers teaching gym!!
5 Yes it does. Look at the news for reference.
6 Yes and No.. You would do things for people your in love with that you wouldn't do for your next door neighbour- but are you being co-erst..That would depend on what your morals are.. You couldn't be coherst into doing something you find abhorant. Even in love you have your own mind. No matter what... !! For the ones who use this excuse ,well they are the lowest..
7 for me there is - i love my b/f we don't do much but i just love him..body and soul..
8 not the people who i know.

1. men use this quote to divert attention from their own problems. it's also a way of making the sexes feel more disconnected - men are men, women are women - why can't we just be 'humans'?
2. another way of diverting from his own mistakes, this time by claiming their to be something intrinscally defective in all men - if men have this problem then why don't women?
3. society controls us. our day to day lifestyle, our morals and the people we find ourselves grouped with are all governed by society
4. i think science in some places does promote thinking "outside the box". promote science, show all the different positive aspects of it but don't coerce children in to doing something or discourage them from making their own decisions
5. yes it does - we need it for our basics, our luxuries, to make us look and feel good. if you want to liberate yourself from money then go out, make your clothes, build your own house and hunt your own animals - although, more likely than not you'll be prosecuted under the animal protection act for doing this. everything is governed by money. of course, we could pay people in food, heating, lighting, the essentials but eventually people would get greedy and need more. money puts you in the driving seat
6. no; but it can be corrupted and used to manipulate
7. simply not true
8. people who think it's never their fault - it's so much easier to sit back and blame powers beyond your own control. this certainly isn't the average person

Answering question 3.

This depends on whether you are a strong personality or a "sheep." A strong individual obviously would not allow society to control them however a " sheep" simply wants to be one of the flock and actually thrives on being controlled by society.

You're not going to get many answers at all because you have too many questions. Why don't you just ask one and see what happens. That first one would be good and in answer, I would say absolutely not. It doesn't even make any sense. Its too generalized.

I'd love to know if it was the questioner that gave me a thumb down. If so, so much for trying to be helpful.
