My advice is first to examine your motives. Why do you want to become a "witch or spell-caster"? If your dream is to obtain power, the craft is not a game or a way to obtain power over others. It is a way of life that many people find fulfilling. It is not what you see on television shows such as Charmed, Buffy or Sabrina the Teenaged Witch.
If you are truly serious about it and feel it is your calling, then begin by reading books. I suggest looking at the library first.
The first book I recommend you read is "The Truth About Witchcraft Today" by Scott Cunningham. This will help you to decide if this is what you are really seeking. May you be blessed in your search to find your path.

i'm wanting to become a witch as much as the next person, i might not know where to begin, like most people don't, but the first thing that you could start off with would have to be to read some books that contain spells, easy spells. or just look for a book that you can read up on witch's/spell casters. you might get some knowledge about them before you begin.

If you are serious, you will soon realize that there is more to witchcraft than casting spells. It is a religion and a sytem of beliefs with a rich history. Search the web and you'll find sites dedicated to Wiccan faith. Find a good bookstore and buy a witches bible. You might be able to find a store in your community that sells supplies to witches and acts as a gathering place for those with a common interest. Good luck to you.

Try looking at www.onthetopof.com. Then type in wicca in the area for a search. That site should help you get started. Also you should go to a library and look up books on Wicca. This should help in seeing if this is something you truley want to get into. Its not just "casting spells" it is a way of life.

i'm sorry, yet no respected Witch is going to easily hand you spells. Witches do the learn and write their own spells. they do no longer hound different Witches for the spells they have worked annoying to create. Spells are no longer accepted products used for stupid issues. Spells are geared in the direction of one particular element. in case you won't have the ability to write your guy or woman spells and do the paintings needed then you definitely should not be playing with spells

If you're really interested in witchcraft, I would suggest spending a great deal of time reading and doing research before you ever attempt anything. Learn, read, study.. If you're thinking that you can just jump in and just start casting away.. you don't need to be anywhere near witchcraft. I don't mean that to be as harsh as it is, but it's true. Take time to learn first.

In Salem, Massachuettes(U.S.A.) is a coven of witches still in existence. You can go into a search engine and get some general information on them. There has been specials done about them on television and I found it interesting. Charmed is a cute show but not much on true life witches.
