Yes, thank you for bringing up something I am so bent about but thought it probably was of no interest to anyone else so I let it go.
I wish they made a video mute so I would not even have to watch them, they are a bother. I don't support censorship, but when we are watching Dancing With The Stars with my 5yr old daughter who dances and then a commercial appears for a show that has someone's bloody head blown away by a gunshot, it is not appropriate and I don't think that when I chose to allow D/Stars into my house for her viewing, I did not consent to the other. G rated shows should only have G commercials, PG-13 can have PG-13 commercials etc.

Through 50 someodd years of training, we, the viewers, have been taught that TV is free.
Now that we are starting to download movies for free off the internet we are told that it is stealing.
TV has always been free.
What they should do is put a small ad, say coca cola put their logo in the corner of the screen, and no matter who downloaded it, or watched it on the air, we would always have that non-intrusive logo reminding us to buy their product.
That way, it would be acceptable to download TV, and we could watch it live without interruptions. They already do this for sports programs. Why not cut out the commercial breaks and just have the small non-intrusive logo of the proprietor that sponsors the program?
Everyone one wins. We can download TV that we missed. We can watch TV without annoying commercials. They can have a sponsor that gets 100% of the TV time to pay for the program.

I haven't had "free" television since I left my parents house over 20 years ago that don't have cable in their house still!
I pay for television the 29th of every month.
Some commercials are funny and entertaining. Some are annoying just like anything else in life.
