Every baby is different.
None of them have a watch.
Usually babies clocks are totally opposite of ours. It's just the way it goes. (It doesn't change when they get here either!)
The baby may be moving more than you realize during the day. When you are focused on other things or moving around, it's not as noticeable. When you get home and get comfortable, that's when you are really going to notice the movement. The baby may actually be more of a day sleeper too. They will have several awake/sleep periods during a 24 hour period. Your baby might have a good awake time during those late night shows. There isn't anything you can do to change their schedule. Sorry! You will get used to it. You may find that catching a nap during one of the baby's sleep cycles will help you get through the day without falling asleep on the job!
Also, the baby will be more active when you eat and drink. There's a lot going on when you digest that dinner and little one is getting fed too.
If you ever want to just check on him/her, a trick my OB doc taught me to do is drink a glass something really cold like juice. Then go and lay down in a very quiet, soothing place. In a couple of minutes, that little bundle of joy will get a little chilly and start to wiggle around to warm back up. It worked everytime for me! It's not an old wives tale like some of the things people might tell you. This only works because of the difference in temperature. You can (when you are father along) get the baby to move over a bit when you place a warm or cold compress on your tummy. Sometimes those little buggers want to park it in one place and stretch. What they don't know is that it hurts like the dickens! My son was bottom up stretching like that for about 2 weeks. I looked like I had a baseball growing out of my basketball belly! I was in tears until the doctor told me what to do. He shifted just enough to relieve the pressure. Thank God!
Well, hope this helps. Good luck and God Bless!

I'm 22 weeks and the only time i really feel my baby move around is when i'm siting down or lying down being still. Prolly the motion of your body during the day soothes your baby, mine is the same way. They say to count your baby's movements, should be 10 in 24 hours or something like that.

here's the thing, the baby sleeps while you are moving around all day because it's like he's being rocked to sleep. but he should be moving at least once an hour. and any little movement counts. don't worry your pregnancy is normal. my little guy did the same thing. when i would lay down at night he would just be getting up.
if you worry about him not moving then drink something cold and lay on your left side. this will usually get him too move.
hope this helps

You would be surprised how much movement there is and you DON'T feel it for whatever reason. Unless you are laying still (like late at night) and paying attention, chances are you are moving and not really feeling it.
You can do kick counts starting at 28 weeks. You will hear different stories as to how many you should feel......my OB told me that 10 movements in 10 hours is what you want to look for.
I always thought it was 10 movements in one hour, but he corrected me! If you are feeling that even late at night, you should be fine!

You probably just dont notice him when you're out working and stuff, you're busy with work things, not feeling whats happening in your body.
He should be moving about 10 times every 2 hours i think is the count they want you to do.
He'll have days where he doesnt do as much while he has a growth spurt, and then be real active for a while after. And he'll also have times of day where he's just sleeping and not moving much.
It could also be that he's small, and facing inward, so you cant fel his movments as well.

It's really up to the baby. He could be doing moves you don't even feel. I really started to notice my baby's movements more towards the last 8 weeks or so. And they can happen any time of the day. For some reason, my son loved to start wiggling around at 4 a.m., and then after he was born, every morning, he would wake up at 4 a.m.

my baby moves constantly this time but i know with my other pregnancies they had very distinct times when they would move.i know they didnt move much during the day due to my activity.it usually rocks them to sleep.but when you go to lay down at night they are awoken and start to party!lol!!as long as hes moving then theres nothing to worry about.plus at 29 weeks hes got alot less room in there to move so youllbe feeling a more squirming feeling then kicking soon.good luck!

bless you. they are all different love, my baby was moving mornings and evenings at 29 weeks, but if you are worried at all contact your midwife.
when i was working, it was less active in the day because i was moving about, this appararently lulls baby to sleep or rest. when you settle, baby takes this a a cue to liven up, oddly enough, at the mid 20 week mark, mine would liven up most to pharrell williams music, now it just rolls and moves pretty much whever i sit still (at 33 weeks) and i have to have hospital monitoring twice weekly, it really livens up then, moves about 50-60 times per hour!
good luck with the pregnancy, hope info helps.
if you get any long periods of time with NO movement, contact your midwife, GP or hospital. be safe!

When you are moving around, they baby is rocked to sleep. When you sit and relax, the baby wakes up and stretches and turns over. The late night shows don't interest the baby. He relaxed mom does, though. That's a good time to talk to him or sing to him.

He probably is moving during the day but you are just so busy you dont notice it, and your moving around during the day can rock him to sleep. You should have at least 10 movements in and hour. Drink something cold and lay down and count them.
