The saying "If u really love some1 set ur love free, if ur love comes back he/she's urs and if not then he/she was never urs" comes to my mind and tries to put that into practice regarding my love lost situation but folks..it's difficult I must say. I tell myself that if u really love him then u shd be happy abt his choices and wish him happiness but i seem to feel different. Do u think I'm being mean? Have u ever felt like this? I tell myself that I really love him but I seem to want him for only myself and feels that he'll find happiness only with me. I can't think of him finding happiness somewhere else or in some1 else arms. Am I being selfish???

Set him free, BUT, if he doesn't return, hunt him down and kill him!

If you love somebody be with them, only if that love is shared. Now, there are some circumstances where it is different, like going off to college or a great job oppurtunity, or if your young and want to do certain things. There are things in life that some people would rather experience on there own, thats when you let them go, but stay friends, later on you might decide to give it another try. It is hard when you love somebody so much sometimes, but you can not change their mind and you can not change your heart, so you just hope for the best, and trust that life has got good things in store for the both of you, whether it be together or a part.

You feel that way because your Heart was mistreated by him and you thought he really loved you enough to stay with you. I think your heart is breaking because you really do love him very much and hopefully he'll come around and realize just how much you mean to him or you'll move on and then it will definitely be too late for him to come back. Right?

if you really love him then hold on to him throwing him to the wind and letting him fly will make him think you don;t love him at all, how can you find love if you always set it free,be happy quit fretting,if you love him keep him but if you don;t want him and don;t want no one else to have him then get over it let him go so he can be happy, maybe he needs to set you free so you can fly and then he could be happy

When you set something free, it means you do not want it anymore, and they know it too. I would never go back to something that didn't want me, even if I loved it.

nah... those feelings are normal. i had to do this once. Set someone free who i really loved. It hurts like hell, & tho peeps said this to me too & i dismissed it as the thing everyone ALWAYS tells you... "it will get easier & time does heal". It did for me & now me & him have a super cool friendship. :)

yes it applied to me. at least, i have gained more respect in myself and i can now put out the best in me which i was not able to do when i was with him because of his too many restrictions. now, this is me, just being myself and i couldnt be happier.

You are not being selfish... you are in love. Try to get him back...

No.. But it does seem that he may not be right for you if he has found "happiness" elsewhere!
