4X4 Low will not engage unless you put it in Neutral.
4X4 High will engage in any gear at any safe driving speed

4x4 high push the button, for 4x4 low put transmission in neutral then push button wait for it to engage then put trasmission in drive - when you get out of 4x4 low reverse the steps - do not drive over 20 mph in 4x4 low and it might take a few seconds to disengage when you get out. - you should probaly have some one show you - trasmissions and transfer cases are expensive

on this one you can do it from either position,it doesn't matter ,it wont hurt anything ,it was designed to be done at a moving speed if necessary,good luck i hope this help,s
