It's uncommon in jail for inmates to have sex but its not likely it happened if he had the need. I would sit down and talk, come off on a level where he opens up to you. Talk about the few good things about being in jail (im pretty sure not manny), and some of the experiences he faced. Find out if he made friends there and how the relationship with inmates evolved. I think if you ask the right answers but not being too straight out like "Hey did you f*** anyone in jail?", then I think you can investigate if he did or not.

WHAT?! Ok, if he's not doing Life, and hasn't been there for a VERY long time, 99.9% chance NOTHING happened. BIG misconception about Jail is that its a big ***-rape party. Its not - at all. Its actually pretty uncommon.
