I hate when people say to just relax. I'm 13 weeks and I know how it is to worry about things that happen to you and feel curious about whether or not they could hurt the baby. That being said, I also had diarrhea during my 2nd and 3rd month at different times. I read in the book "What to expect when you're expecting" that it's usually nothing to worry about as long as you remain hydrated. So keep trying to drink water. If the diarrhea persists, contact your physician. But as the book said you're baby is probably blisfully unaware of what's happening.

I had Diarrhea and really bad tummy cramps at around 7/8 weeks. I found that eating unripe banana's and a tea-spoon of vinegar, in the morning and evening helped with the diarrhea. Thankfully it only lasted about a week.
As long as its not too severe, and you are drinking plenty of water i would think you would be OK. There's never any harm in seeing your doctor if you are worried.

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Sweetie, you're about to embark on a whole voyage of strange and unusual bodily occurrences that MAY ( not always) affect everything from your toenails to your hair. 2 days of diarrhea is nothing to worry about, other than make sure you don't get dehydrated. if it continued for 2 weeks, then yes, see a doctor.
Trust me, you will alternate between diarrhea, constipation, and whatever else decides to go astray but it's all worth it!

I am not trying to be mean at all but when you have a question about pregnancy you should go see your doctor. I have been pregnant 3 times and no one can answer your questions better than your doctor can.

It is perfectly normal to have diarreha in early pregnancy. It is just your body changing your hormones creating some imbalaces, its nothing to worry about, although very unpleasent. You can take some Pepto, my dr told me only to take 1 dose every 24 hours, and the same while i was breastfeeding. Good luck

YOu probably just have some kind of intestinal bug. Relax. Don't take anything for it, just let it run it's course.
