I have a ton of baseball cards that i need to get rid of and im not sure if any of them have any value. I need to know the simplest way to find the cards prices. I've already tried going to a local comic shop, and was told by those guys that they couldnt buy them because baseball cards aren't very popular right now...anyway can anyone help?

Get a Beckett's guide or look at Beckett's online. You can also look at eBay and see what similar cards are going for.

I've noticed the same thing about baseball cards and was surprised. I haven't for the last 8 years, but previously I always received a complete set of the cards as a gift. (I'm getting older and the giver is now deceased.) I have a new nephew and thought about carrying on the tradition and have been looking everywhere in stores, not online, for a 2006 complete set. None of the stores have them. They're all sell cartoon characters. It's been disapppointing.

Buy a Beckett Baseball price guide. It's considered the standard in baseball card pricing and value. After that, you'll have to shop around to find a card shop willing to buy them or you could sell them on ebay. As far as the cards not being popular right now, I don't know what that guy was talking about unless he meant that the new season hasn't started yet and as the saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind." It would make sense to hold off on selling the cards until at least spring training kicks in.

Also, how old are your cards? If they are fairly recent(last five or so years), they won't sell for much more than a nickel apiece for common players and bigger stars will only sell for a few bucks unless you have a rookie of an outstanding player.
