I am five weeks and two days. With the exception of very mild breast tenderness, thats it. Is this normal? When should I start seeing some changes?

i didn't really look pregnant until i was about 5-6 months. i am in college and the people in my classes kept asking when i was going to start showing because you really just couldn't tell. but it all depends on how tall you are and your body structure.

if you are tall then you won't show as much as you would if you are short. i am 5'5 so that's why it took a while for me to show. the doctor said that the taller you are the more room the baby has to grow.

i know how you are feeling, i just couldn't wait until my belly got big. but before you get to that point you go through this stage where you just look chubby. but don't worry it doesn't last that long.

congrats, hope this helps

you don't normally start showing until the 3rd month, but even then it's hard to tell unless you're naked. my mother began seeing changes in her body the first week of pregnancy. her boobs got really big, and her bottom half shifted, shall we say? most women don't normally show 'to the world' until their 5th month. some women, those attuned to their bodies, feel different right at conception. some get a strange taste in their mouth, almost bloody. some women's sense of smell is heightened. some women will notice their breasts become tender from day one, so yes, that's normal. you're right on track. if you undress and stand in front of a full length mirror, you can detect small changes pretty much right away, even during the first week of gestation. you might develop a darkening of the aeriolas (spelling?), and a funny dark line running the length of your belly (around the navel, vertically). even your face will puff up, and you'll retain water. they say you'll start developing food cravings right around the 6th week, but some women never do and some do right off the bat. also, you'll experience morning sickness around the 6th week, but it doesn't always hit in the morning. sometimes it'll last all day! and some women experience morning sickness the very first days after conception. everyone is different. ask your mother about her pregnancies. might give you a better understanding, at least idea, how yours might go. congrats!!!!! here's to a healthy and happy baby and a super-fast, super-easy delivery!!!!!

Yea that's normal. I didn't even find out I was pregnant till I was around 7 weeks and i didn't feel anything till about 8 or 9 weeks. Everybody is different so it all depends on you. I didn't start showing till i was 7 months pregnant. I did gain weight in the beginning but I didn't "look" pregnant till 7 months. I started wearing maternity clothes at 6 months. Congratulations!

I noticed slight changes in starting to feel pregnant at about 3 months. Really didn't start to show until about 4-5 months. Never felt sick with it, so that was a blessing in itself!

You might not feel or see any changes through the bulk of your pregnancy.

Some women dont get bellies until theyre in their 3rd trimester, others dont really 'fee' pregnant at all.

I didnt feel pregnant through this entire pregnancy. with the exception of the sore boobs, braxon hicks and sore joints and muscles i still dont feel pregnant.

I didnt have a real belly until about 5 months.
