The problem with you theory is the unions would insist on employing 85,000 administrator's to make it work

Wouldnt this firstly increase those who are on low incomes just to quit work as unemployment benefits would be even greater? Also could this also increase the 'benefits' of getting pregnant? - more teenage pregnancies - no thanks.

Additionally, would the NHS get enough money from people to run as they are now - wouldnt some go to private health companies such as BUPA instead.

And would this system actually work for low income individuals, for example; if someone whos earning just enough to pay rent and live (which includes students) could they afford to pay for health-checks or even more expensive activities such as stomach pumps (students!) - would they get left on the street if they couldnt afford it?

Furthermore, would are taxes therefore get reduced? - doubt it. And could the NHS make such a privtisation work? - its a black whole of debt - currently you could through as much cash into it as you'd like with minimal changes.

This would never happen, any Government who makes such a massive move such as the extensive privatisation you mentioned or even raising taxes (which is needed) is simply going to get voted out asap?

Health care under a 'private' system means you pay for it, now a lot of working people either wont pay insurance or cant afford to pay for it, what happens to them?
I did try to work it out at one time by asking on Yahoo how much people in other parts of the world were paying for medicare, the response was pathetic!
But that may be something you could check out?
I just have a feeling that we in the UK are paying too much compared with other countries.
But I would never want to see a time when medical help was refused to anyone, regardless of financial circumstance .

it would be a disaster and would devide the country only very few people would be able to afford the service and it would cost more money in the end. eg. someone can't afford to go to doctors about an embarrassing rash, gets laughed at, get picked on at work, gets deprressed - cant afford to get that treated-gets manic depression tries to kill a collegue for laughing at him : 1)you'd have to treat this person for * a rash and tablets for depression and for concilling sessions as this person is crazy and a danger to others and then 2) you would have to treat the other person as there injuries would be potentially fatal and maybe get them counsiling for post traumatic stress.

Im going to agree up until unemployed. Maybe there should be a devide. Short term unemployed people should get free treatment as long as they are actively looking for work. Long term unemployed should get nothing. It is not hard to find a job, and i hate that my tax should pay for someone to sit on their *** so they can watch daytime tv.

Criminals should be exempt from all free treatment no matter what.

Yeah thats a brilliant idea , not , the only people you'v left of your list of concessions , are adults in full time employment who pay the taxes to pay for the health service but according to you they would be the only people not entitled to it , bit of a no brainer there dont you think !!

NOT SURE ABOUT THE PRIVATISATION, I THINK IT WOULD WORK BETTER IF WE HAD THE CHOICE TO OPT OUT OF THE NHS, IF WE DID NOT HAVE TO PAY SUCH A LOT OF NATIONAL INSURANCE WE WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD A GOOD PRIVATE HEALTH CARE SCHEME, BUT THAT WOULDNT HELP, THE NHS AS THEY WOULD NOT GET MUCH MONEY,ONLY HELP THEY WOULD HAVE IS LESS PEOPLE TO LOOK AFTER.
