It only works when I hear the dial tone and the operator saying "If you'd like to make a call...". If I place the phone on the base to "hang up" the DSL connection is lost.

I've called tech support, but all they say is "restart the modem"...I'm sick of it!

call ur (isp) or get a better one tech support no good then they dont wanna help get off that isp and go for better one

You need to call your internet provider and have them fix the problem. I have troubles all the time with my ISP and I am on DSL also.

you need to install the filters correctly no filter on the line the modem is connected to

did you follow the instructions exactly?
do you have a line filter on every phone line?
try a new modem

do you have the line connected to the LP filter? or directly to the jack?...the filter is only to be used with phones and peripheral devices.

you need to replace the filters on your phone lines in the house.

you have tow options, one get another line for the computer or you may consider get a cable, besides, it,s a lot faster, with greater security.
