What I understand is that AOL is a web service service and acts because the gateway to the internet international. DSL is i imagine the medium in which you get the internet connection for your pc. IE is internet explorer this is the utilizing which permits you to browse the internet. There are few internet browsers obtainable and yu can opt for your browser. IE is made avialable with techniques from MS. There are some variations of IE obtainable now.

IE is a web browser. There are others. It doesn't matter if you have DSL, cable modem, or dialup internet access. You can use any browser that you wish.

You need to have some kind of browser to render the pages for you. It doesn't necessarily have to be IE, there are many to choose from: Opera, Firefox, Mozilla, etc.

No. thats just a browser. you can download any other like firefox or my personal favorite MAXTHON which you can get free at download.com
you should keep IExplorer on the comp because theres some aspects of it that microsoft runs on--because microsoft makes their stuff interdepent. but you dont have to ever use it ever again. i dont. i hate it and its unsafe.

you dont have to use it
