Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?
What if the freezer was afraid of the dark???
What are you hiding in there, anyway???

I asked this question myself when I was about 4 or 5. My aunt told me this: There is a little guy who lives in the fridge. He's about 3 inches tall. Every time someone opens the door, it's his job to make sure the light goes on. So the people can see the food that they want to choose from. The reason there is no little man in the freezer is simple. It's too cold. He'd freeze to death. I never asked if the food could possibly be afraid of the dark, but I think the food we put in the freezer hibernates so it doesn't even realize that it's in the dark. Very good question. Brought back some good memories for me!!! Thanks.

It is to hid things in the freezer, in the fridge the light is so you can catch things before they grow or become a new life form. Creating life is someone Else's job.
Well, if afraid of the dark it would have a very scary, paranoid life, wouldn't it.
If you only knew, that's why there's no light.

Coz at night when you need a snack you get it out the fridge not the freezer.

Because the 'fridge is fresher foods..if the freezer can't cope its time to get outta the kitchen..oh I don't think I can reveal what I store in there on Y/A...
Wonder if they have missed that question destroyer person yet from their staff? hmmm...anyway,my freezer is about the size of a casket..=)

I used to work in an appliance store and there are lights in the newer freezers. They just cost a lot more for the convenience of it.

My freezer has a light in it I think that you need to dump yours out and get a new refrigerator period you have to keep up with what's new out their son and one more thing stop asking these stupid questions.

Light in fridge, cuz Dragon needs to see what kinda food she's got. No light in fridge, so no one can see the dead mice in there. Ha.

I've always wondered the same thing.
I guess you'd need to keep a flashlight in there.
Let me check....some ice cubes, some apple sauce, some carrots, extra margarine and a fish.
