Far as I know the Fastest "actual PCI" card is

Jaton VIDEO-338PCI-DVI

http://db.jaton.com/vgaproductdetail.asp...

That's a Nvidia GeForce 6200

You can find them on EBAY for about $70~80 NEW,,, shipped

Nvidia FX 5700 LE are probably 2nd fastest

FX5500 is probably 3rd

ATI Radeon 9200 or 9250 are the latest/greatest/fastest Radeon PCI cards.

Performance-wise,,they are Waay behind the Nvidia FX's.

But,,they are fairly modern, and have up to date specs,,,so they do OK

You choices are VERY,VERY Limited for Hi-Performance PCI Slot video cards

......................
Shop on EBAY is usually "best" for good prices.
Many computer places dont even stock many PCI cards anymore.

You can try
Newegg.com
Pricewatch.com

be CERTAIN it's plain ,old "PCI" and
NOT the newer PCI-E

The NEWEST GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) available for the old PCI (NOT PCI-e) slot is indeed the 6200. *IF* you can find one, apparently Nvidia no longer makes the 6200 Series in the old PCI Slot format.

However, I did come across a PCI graphics card using the 5500 GPU with 256mb of RAM for only $79.22.

I got a Radion X1300 for my pc with a regular PCI slot from Dell.com. But be prepared to be disapointed. Sense PCI is crappy, you wont get the full 256mb that the graphics card promises. I could play F.E.A.R. on mine but i have to play at medium settings.
