My best guess is that it was something your mind was relating to or using in a dream. Remember though, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and a song is just a song. If it's "Jesse's girl" and you just realized you love your best friends fiance, then it probably has a meaning, but if its just some random song, you may have had a dream you don't remember, that sparked some memory of this song. It doesn't have to mean anything really.

Good question!! Has happened to me umpteen number of times...... and not necessarily one that I like too much!

I suppose it just indicates that the subconscious mind has been dwelling on that song just before waking up.

Well....not to sound obvious, but do you wake to radio or buzz???

If you wake to radio, then maybe you slept through a song and subconsciously remembered it when you woke up.
