i am a mario freak and i think mario would whoop some sonic azzz lol. mario has access to so many tools to help him. i think sonic is fast but running away makes him a coward lmao...good question. have a great holiday=)

I like the two just as much as each other, but Sonic is too fast for even Mario. I don't think Mario could dodge something that moves faster than a speeding bullet.
Mario's only chance would be if he found a Star. But then again, Sonic could also become invincible. That's when it becomes a matter of who's invincibility lasts the longest (don't ask me, though).

Since Mario has no natural abilites the answer is undoubtably Sonic. Mario gets his fighting powers from objects(hammers, fire flowers, leaves, raccon suits, metal/ winged hats and super mushrooms, let's not forget invincibility stars); and can't handle Sonic in a stand-up hand 2 hand fight. Also I don't think Sonic will be defeated if Mario somehow manages to keep him still long enough to jump on his head.

Sonic, unless you are talking about Mario from Mario Brothers 3 and giving him all those powers. Face it even with Fireball power Sonic could beat him.

Sonic would definitely win! Mario can't jump on him because of his spikes and if he shot fireballs at him, Sonic could just spin and deflect them.
Sonic would be too fast for Mario to dodge over and over.

I don't know . I would say mario because mario could get a star and be invincible and shoot fire balls. And he could fly with the cape. I don't really know about sonic i mean he is fast and he has some wepons i think. But i say mario.
