I liked Rudy, the story of a Hollywood Ape and his parrot/roommate Bonita. This strip appeared from 1983-1984 in the LA times. He was basically George Burns as an ape, making droll commentary on the changing landscape of Los Angeles and its inhabitants compared to his acting hey-day of the 1930s-1950's.
