Well, actually there has been a couple of things. The first great deed was done by a friend that wanted to pay it forward. I had been in a terrible auto accident and couldn't work for a few months and in the meantime I had no income until my short-term disability kicked in,not to mention times were very lean. Oh and did I mention I am a single mother. My friend was working as a state-trooper at the time and stopped by to check on me while he was on duty and asked if he could go into my kitchen to get a drink. I did notice he had been in there for awhile. In actuality he was checking out my grocery supply and left with a small thank you for the drink. The next day I found $75 lying on my kitchen counter. I cried and called to thank him, knowing that his resources were limited also. But he recalled somebody helping him in the same way and wanted to pay it forward.

The second time came several years later....I had just started a new business and had been working hard to get it established. It was a few days before x-mas and I still hadn't found any extra money for gifts for my children. It was either pay the utilities or get my kids x-mas. I was heart broken and tried to let my children know that I would make it up to them, they tried to be understanding but I could see the hurt in their eyes. I finally broke down and confided in a close friend that I couldn't get them anything accept an IOU. A few days later the inevitable happened, there was an electrical fire and my business, the only source of income, burnt to the ground. I was at my wits end and just beside myself or so I thought.......my friend organized x-mas for my children and the community got together and got my business back up and running within three weeks. It was absolutely amazing to see the kindness come out in so many ways. I am so thankful for the people in my lives and can't wait to pay it forward!!!

Once when I was first divorced with 4 children, I only made a little over 5000 dollars a year. I did not have enough money to pay for gas to heat my home. My really good neighbor and friend payed it for me that month and let me pay them a back a little at a time . That is one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me and my children. Thank god for loving neighbors/friends. Welfare at the time would not help or tell me where to go for assistance. It was a few weeks before Christmas.

My best friend Robyn has supported me through every decision I have ever made. I love her dearly and the kindest thing she ever did for me, was just to be there through all the hard times, and let me cry to her, hug me when Im sad. She is my best friend, and we've been best friends for 13 yrs. I consider her a sister to me.

My best friend is there through thick and thin, regardless of the situation. She's straight with me about everything and doesn't hesitate to set ME straight if I get out of line.
