Most Wanted i think is the best game in the NFS series since Hot Pursuit came out. The whole deal of having the cops chase you is kind of a added bonus.

If you don't like the whole added layer of police interaction that is provided in Hot Pursuit 1,2 and Most Wanted then you could try the other games.

Like NFS: Carbon ( which came out recently ) there're no cops because the high stakes races take place in canyons.... away from city streets.

Carbon is kind of a dash of Underground a bit of some new stuff.. car customization (autoscuplt) , the 'crew' helps you during races, and the canyon races are actually kind of interesting

Most Wanted is pretty fun, there's a 'Blacklist' that you have to move up. there's 15 people you have to beat .... the first 10 are pretty easy to get through, but the last five are a bit of a pain
