Considering applying diluted antifreeze to door frames and glass prior to next ice/sleet/freezing rain/snow storm to prevent or reduce accumulation or at least reduce potential for frozen doors and windshield ice accumulation.

Thanks

Newer antifreeze solution will not harm the paint, but if there is rain before freezing rain, it will wash off and not do any good. If you want to use it, get a squirt can and squirt it on after the storm. There is also available commercial deicer in spray cans, but you sometimes can't buy enough to get all the ice off. It is useful for thawing the door locks, however. My truck doors froze shut this last storm and no amount of stuff on it would have prevented it because the ice was ½ thick all over the truck..

I wouldn't do that. Even dilute antifreeze would be bad for the paint.

Better to get the door gaskets/seals replaced.
