Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male, its absolutely gorgeous. Really distinctive and the kind of smell that makes you want to follow the wearer and do naughty things to them! =0P

I really think that aftershave & perfumes are a personal choice of the wearer, its probably best to go with something he already wears or at least something similar as not all people like the same scents, each aftershave/perfume is distinctive to the wearer.

I personally like Paul Smith aftershaves, Hugo Boss, Armani or Aramis on an older man but Diesel (in the silvery white bottle) is great too.

It all depends on the person, try hinting to find out what the person you're buying for likes.

Idealy it depends on the age of the gentleman you're purchasing for. If it's an aftershave, (this lasts about 2 hours) then Dolce and Gabbana. If it's an EDT then something like Eternity is quite nice.

It appears that we're not actually talking about aftershave but eau de toilette, in which case it would be Bulgari Extreme or Lacoste Essential for me. For aftershaves, L'Occitane make a very nice one.

It depends on what kind of smell you like, at the moment I wear Silver Shadow pure blend by Davidoff but I also like Chic by Carolina Herrerra or any of L'eau D'Issey range by Issey Miyake and last but not least Sentiment by Escada. You might like a spicy scent in which case Aramis 900 is a good one or Cartier Declaration and this is a very good one Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme by Yohji Yamamoto. Happy Christmas and New Year.

After reading this I'm off to look at farenheight or cool water now but for what it's worth I think joop is a bit overdone now and can be so strong it's overpowering. Red diesel is nice - just enough to notice without making you wince and even better it's more affordable if you're on a tight budget.
