Now, I know it all depends on ones definition of good and bad but for the sake of this question, lets use the sterotypical good and bad. I think most people are bad at heart. Humans especially when they are younger are so cruel towards one another for no reason. Most humans are selfish and only care about themselves. They seek revenge and feel hate. Humans are only kind to thier friends and family but to most people are a**holes.

I don't think people want to be good, they just want some sort of respect and now if they are a holes right away, they won't get anywhere in life. And my friends are nicer to strangers than they are to me, your right.

I think everyone is born with a good heart and it's society (socio cultural factors and what not) that socializes people to develop certain aspects of their personality that wouldn't necessarily be considered "good."

This is a highly dependant on the subconscious level as to who may be bad or good inside. It's all in what that person sees and does in their life that is a direct reflection leading up to the moment of when they are cruel. If they see violence or have watched something that was violent before they met someone, it can trigger madness. So to say that all people are generally AHoles, maybe when they're young, it's mostly because young people haven't begun to fully grasp how to control their emotions, and also control what their subconsious mind is telling them.
As far as being bad at heart, it's all a matter of opinion which is a generalization you base on how you feel about certain people. Most people these days, aren't necessarily bad, they're just too uptight. To allow very small things to get under your skin and make you go crazy with madness, it's really your own choices driving you to your madness.
I would suggest people learn to control their emotions, try looking at problems in the third person before getting upset over something so Minute. People need to learn how to look at themselves, BEFORE acting irrationally, you'll see how dumb you look and sound and do a second take on why you're angry to begin with.

I think that humans as a whole are good hearted. There are no sins within a newborn baby. When it enters this world it does not bring disease with it. It does not carry envy, hatred, or any of the other illnesses that are currently destroying the world that we live in.

i agree with you that humans as a species are bad at heart. it takes very little effort to be an a..hole and a lot of effort to be even commonly courteous. i will also go you one better. i believe that people are more polite and kind to strangers than they are to their family or friends.
