The term "amoral" is distinct from the terms moral and immoral, and simply refers to the state of lacking any moral characteristics. An amoral act is not morally good nor is it morally bad - it simply is. An amoral man is one who has no conception of morality or moral judgments.

The term immoral in contrast refers to deliberately violating accepted principles of right and wrong

Something amoral has no known morality.

Somthing immoral is in violation of known morality.

If I am not mistaken "immoral" means that a person knows the difference between a moral and and immoral act, and is therefore in the position to CHOOSE willingly to do something wrong, immoral, unethical. "Amoral" means that the person simply does not possess the concept of moral and immoral.

Immoral = UN moral (against morals)
Amoral = no moral (without morals)

Does that help? Have I made sense? :o)
