You should tell your General Practitioner goodbye and get an OB/GYN

when you go to your ob not your gp he can give you a list of hospitals that he goes to. At any time you can go to there maternity ward and tour. You have to be advised if you go to a hospital you ob has no privileges at he can not see you and u will have to see the ob for that hospital.. (scary someone else seeing you that has no clue of your medical history.) Talk to your OB he can help you out to the best of your ability also u want a hospital close to home so if u do go into labor you aren't driving around forever.

The doctor who will be delivering your baby will tell you which hospital you will be going to for the delivery of your baby.
If the obstetrician uses more than one hospital, your insurance will pick the hospital you have to use.

Why don't you find a new doctor? One who isn't rude and that delivers at the hospital of your choice? Just a thought. That is what I did.

I thought you had a choice of hospitals WITHIN your own catchment area. There isnt much point in having a good hospital if its miles away and you dont reach there in time

If you want to use that doctor, then you need to use a hospital that she has privledges at. If you aren't happy with the places she delivers at, then you need to seek out a caregiver who delivers at the hospital you prefer to go to.
