this guy is really weird...!?

okay..this guy got to know me through a friend, and he's like a complete stranger to me but he has seen my photos and stuff and now he just keeps on bugging me to go out with him like everyday! i've turned down his offer everytime because i don't feel safe going out with someone i don't even know! but he still persists and keeps asking me to go out to play basket ball with him or join him in a bbq party with his friends! why is he so insistant when i've showed clear signs that i'm not interested and have no intentions of going out with him?

Always trust your gut instinct. If you think he is weird, then he probably is. Be persistant in telling him you are not interested. Good Luck.

He's got some kind of problem that makes him unable to understand "NO". He also doesn't seem to respect women, since you've told him 'no' several times and he doesn't get it.
You said you know him through a friend of yours, well, let this friend know what he's doing and have your friend tell him to leave you alone. If that doesn't work, call the police and start carrying mace.
If they sold 'Anti-Psycho Spray' I'd say get some of that, too (maybe a case of it), but they don't, so you're going to have to be REAL careful for awhile until he's gone. Don't go anywhere alone and always make sure someone knows where you are, at least for the time being.

He likes you. Sheesh give the guy a break. You wont ever get to know him if you don't give him a chance. Go out with him once or twice. Then decide if you aren't interested. Men are silly when they really like a girl. If you want to feel safe...set up a double date or group date with people you know. what does the friend say about this guy? Take all things into consideration of course.
But I say..Give him a shot at it. Unless he completely grosses you out or is a stalker.
