I want to purchase a USB external hard drive to back-up my 2 internal hard drives. What do you suggest?

HDD 0 is 80Gb but only 20% being used
HDD 1 is 40Gb but only 15% being used

Strictly for backup purposes I would suggest something like this :

External drives usually start around 80GB.
So there's really not much to suggest since
you won't even fill that one partly.

You might want to check though if your computer
has USB2.0 support. Or the backup will take an
awful long time.
