Money, pubs, and good places with a girl...

Unless you know LA good I wouldnt venture out alone at night with a girl. If you dont know anyone there that can show you where to go I would maybe think about using a taxi service to take you where you need to go and the driver will also know more or less safe places where you can go . Money is good of course to have but never in big bills and everything costs the same as it does anywhere else. Unless you were to go to a hollywood bar. I dont think you will find many pubs in LA. You will find bars and nightclubs. The night life is just like any other night life except in certain areas you might find alot of criminal activity. Not so much any more but it is still there. It might be worth considering a nice dinner and then even going to enjoy the winter nights at disneyland and then if you want to drink and party you can always do that at home.

Koi restaurant in Beverly Hills...Killer food, great drinks, often celebs if your in to that. Reasonbly priced for LA. ($$)
Cuts steakhouse ($$$$) or The Boulevard ($$)in the Beverly Wilshire hotel. (that's the hotel from 'pretty woman.' Women loved that movie.)

There's everything you could think of here. All prices, all types. But it's such a vast area, you'd need to narrow down your neighborhood for more suggestions
