All depends on how high your resort is located. But I have worked/stayed in Megeve for some years early in the season and they are not located very high (1100 - town) but they always have good snow. There is usually a good dump around 2 weeks before Christmas. But due to Global Warming forecasting the weather is becoming increasingly difficult. I know that the ground is frozen at the moment, which means that any snow that falls between now and Christams should stick around.

Anything's usual these days with weather! Take Thanksgiving in the midwest- usually it's snowing and like 20-30's- it was 70! BUT don't worry- i'm sure the resorts, etc. will "make" snow for ya !
