Hi! I'm from Arizona, and Death Valley is near to Arizona. IT's actually in California and Nevada. It's a national park that is known for it's sparse desert and extreme climate/atmosphere. It can be very hot or very cold, there are few trees and vegitation. IT's a very interesting place, and really a one-of-a-kind locale. Here's a couple websites with more info. for you.

Death Valley is a desert area located primarily in California. It is one of the few places in the world that is below sea level. It is known for temperature extremes. With temperatures in excess of 120 degrees Fahrenheit in day time. Due to black body radiation it can be very cold at night.
