My drivers license is small and I have to make it no more than 512kb. What is the height and witdth that I should make it?

well it all depends on the quality of the picture too.

It all depends on the dpi(often image quality) of the image. If you have image editing software you can check the image size in real time. Other than that you would have to do trial and error with the image, resizing and saving. Make sure you save a copy of the original. :-)

You could try incorporating Flash into your site. In that scenario, you could use a Flash Component called Loader in order to restrict the image's size. Once your Flash document is done, you can easily place it within ASP pages. Good luck!

It depends on the type of image ... if it's a JPEG , you could make it up to 1024*768 in diminsions, and still it won't exceed that

a centimetre and a half in width and 2 cm in height also be as bright as possible because dark colours take more memory.

Scan it at 96 DPI you'll be fine if you save as a JPG file, it will likely be 40kb
