google

mortec.com

nastyz28.com engine parts id menu

the casting number off the rear of the deck of the block wont tell you alot in most cases excpet the engine size and years the casting number was used and in what vehicles, but not specific

if you want to gert specific then you need ot get the suffix STAMPIBG code off the front stamping bpad under the alternator area on pass side of the block when facing the front of the block

it will be something real similar to TBF or VM

etc

nastyz28 has the suffix code menu to look it up

or google for the code and the words suffix or stamping, etc

otherwise you most likely wont be able to find out what HP or carb or how many main bolts or the exact application it was installed in from factory

good luck
